What a Cutie!! | Chandler, AZ Baby Photographer

Mr. A joined me in-studio yesterday with his parents and we had a blast!  The last time I saw him was in August and he’s changed so much–sitting, smiling and even crawling!  And very, very curious.  I have to say I think he’s going to be a hit with the young ladies too–I agreed to let my youngest daughter watch and help me elicit smiles today and this guy was totally flirting with her the whole time and she hasn’t stopped talking about how cute he is!  Watch out ladies!!  ;)

Tresha, A Jewel in Emerald Green | Queen Creek Headshot Photographer

Tresha came to us for a headshot to use with articles she writes–she did great and looks so pretty in the shots we got.  I’m really pleased with the results.  I especially love the gorgeous green blouse, which is such a great color that looked awesome with my dark gray paper!

Leah | Phoenix Model

Tom and I had the pleasure of meeting Leah and her mom this afternoon. Leah, fairly new to modeling, is working on expanding her portfolio. She did a fantastic job and is a natural in front of the camera. To top it all off, I can’t believe it, but it’s impossible to take a bad picture of this girl!

Blast from the Past | Chandler, AZ Child Photographer

One of the things I do for fun is I go back through older images and re-process them (yes, I’m a geek).  The beauty of shooting in a RAW format is that any edits I applied when converting the file were applied non-destructively and I can go back and undo them easily.  I go back, re-process in my “new-and-improved” way (always learning) and then when I take the image into Photoshop, I can also retouch it based on what I know now. I’m always learning and growing (and heck, even Photoshop has improved a lot in a few years) so I love seeing older images with a new look.

This image is from exactly two years ago–this spunky little girl and her sister were very fun to photograph.  My own daughter (two at the time) nick-named her “sassy girl” and I’m sure you can see why!

Julian | Queen Creek Studio Photography

I first met Julian back in August when I photographed some mini-session at 141 Boston in Chandler.  The flash trigger at the studio wouldn’t work that day and to my horror, I’d accidentally left my back-up at home!  I only had two sessions so I tried to make due by triggering the strobe with my on-board flash and it was OK, but perfectionist that I am, I really wanted to re-shoot both sessions.  Keren was kind enough to let me re-shoot and she and her hubby drove out to San Tan Valley this time and we shot Julian in our new studo.  :)

Now is this little guy adorable or what???

One contest, three awesome prizes!! | Phoenix Photographer

I feel like livening things up a bit around here and I want to meet new people and see some new faces as well as spread the word about the gorgeous photography Tom and I are doing, so I decided it’s a great time for a little contest.

I’ve noticed that a lot of my friends and clients are photography enthusiasts, so what could be better for Serenity Pictures than a photo contest?  With photography-related prizes?

The Grand Prize winner is the entry with the most votes and will receive a Grand Session Collection from Serenity Pictures ($775 value!).

The Runner Up is the entry with the second most votes and will receive a full year of membership to Clickin’ Moms (a $50 value).

Honorable Mention will be chosen by moi and will receive a copy of The Digital Photography Book ($25 value).
